Festival MV: Music Marathon and Bicycle Concert in Schwerin!

In Schwerin, everything is about music and joy this weekend. The MV Festival celebrates their birthday in the E-Werk and offer a varied program on both days that attracts both music lovers and families in the region. Today, on July 15, 2025, the festival starts with a colorful mix of choral singing, chamber music and rousing jazz. The event opened its gates on Saturday at 12 noon and offers something for every taste.

On Saturday, the Fortissibros, a men's chamber choir that was only founded in 2019, will present the start at 12 p.m. Followed by chamber music at the Rostock University of Music and Theater at 2 p.m., visitors can look forward to brass music and puppet show with the Blechlotsen and Friederike Alphei at 4 p.m. At 6 p.m., ensembles of the Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin show their skills, and the end of Saturday is the Unplugged early jazz band "Die Railers" at 8 p.m. The ticket prices for this day are 10 euros for individual tickets and 35 euros for a day ticket, plus fees.

Sunday then invites you to a very special experience: the bicycle concert. This creative idea brings the participants on a musical bike tour in and around Schwerin, where they can head for a total of 12 different stations. The tour starts flexibly from 11 a.m. and the program extends until around 3:30 p.m., so everyone has the opportunity to cycle depending on your mood.

One of the top-class artists: Inside, which appear at the bicycle concert, the Fuse Ensemble, the Astoria Salon Orchestra and the Hanse-Jazz Quintet are among others. Ticket prices for this exciting Sunday event are 30 euros for adults and 10 euros for children between 4 and 18 years. Each additional child only pays 5 euros (plus fees). Tickets can be conveniently acquired online, on the slaughterhouse and from 10:30 a.m. on the respective stages.
