Rioter at Friedrichsdorf train station: SchrschusSchris in action!
In the night of July 15th to July 16, 2025, a physical argument occurred at Friedrichsdorf in Frankfurt am Main, which causes excitement in the region. As reported tixio.de, five people were involved in the incident, with two men solved three other people after a verbal argument. At the beginning of the argument, blows and kicks flew, and objects were thrown.
What the situation had escalated was the use of a fright gun by one of the perpetrators. In addition, it is currently being checked whether a knife -like object has also been shown. The perpetrators, who fled to unknown directions after the incident, left three injured people who were cared for and then released on site.
perpetrator and investigation in the focus
The police have already identified one of the perpetrators: a 20-year-old German citizen. But the search for the second perpetrator continues to run. This is described as male, with blond hair, dressed in a white top and blue jeans. The investigation against the two men is based on (dangerous) bodily harm and insult, as presseportal.de informs.
The incidents related to violence and aggression, such as they were observed at Friedrichsdorf station, are part of a major problem. Violent crimes make up less than 4% of all police crimes in Germany, but they influence people's feeling of security enormously. According to the [Statista] (https://de.statista.com/themen/11062/kriminalitaet-in-de- germany-gewaltkriminalitaet/), around 217,000 violent crimes were registered in 2024, the highest number since 2007. Between 2017 and 2021, the number of acts of violence fell again after 2021.
social effects and perception
A survey in May 2024 shows that 94% of German violence and aggression against public life perceive as a major problem. Possible reasons for the increase in violent crime are economic uncertainties and social burdens, which were also reinforced by the Corona pandemic. In addition, the proportion of young violent offenders has increased, gaps in care and support could also tighten the situation.
The federal police calls on witnesses to the incident. Information can be handed over at 069/130 145 0 or to any police station. It remains to be seen how the search and investigation will develop. In any case, the citizens of Frankfurt are alarming what happens in their area.
