Schwerin defeats Planegg-Krailling in the DVV Cup: A thrilling competition!
On November 11, 2025, the volleyball world was on its feet in Planegg: The round of 16 of the DVV Cup was on the program, and the local players from TV Planegg-Krailling competed against strong opponents from SSC Palmberg Schwerin. Around 700 spectators filled the hall and created an impressive atmosphere. The supporting program was organized by around 60 members of the club, who created a great atmosphere with a pyrotechnics show, sales stands and a dance show by the “Move it! Dance Academy”.
The game started with a strong performance from Schwerin, who quickly took the lead 13:6 in the first set. But TV Planegg-Krailling didn't let it get them down and started an impressive 5-0 run that made the audience cheer even louder. Nevertheless, it remained exciting until the score was 19:21 before the guests won the first set 25:19. In the second set, Schwerin pulled away clearly and won it 25:15.
A dramatic ending
The third movement developed into a true crime thriller. Here Planegg-Krailling even took the lead with 20:14 and seemed to be well on the way to winning a set. But the Schwerin women showed strong nerves and started an impressive comeback, so that they were ultimately able to win the set 25:23. Felix Koslowski, coach of SSC Palmberg Schwerin, had to change his starting line-up again in the critical phase of the game in order to avoid the threat of losing a set, which increased the pressure on the hosts.
Despite the defeat, TV setter Elisabeth Kettenbach expressed regret about the lack of courage in crucial moments, but also joy at the performance shown over the course of the game. Your coach and those responsible for the club were generally satisfied with the event, which shone through the strong collective effort of everyone involved. They kept an eye on the positive aspects, which further motivated the fans.
A look forward
With this victory, the Schwerin women have qualified for the round of the best eight clubs in the cup competition and are thus continuing their successful streak. For the volleyball players from TV Planegg-Krailling it is now time to use this experience and learn from the defeat. There will be further challenges in the future, which will definitely be tackled with a lot of courage and fighting spirit.
