When summer is coming into Schwerin, the castle garden becomes a culinary world of experience. Next weekend, from July 18 to 2025, the Schwurmetgarten its gates. Under the motto "This is how MV tastes", regional cooks, winemakers and manufacturers present their specialties in one of the most beautiful garden restaurants in the region. Admission to this event is free of charge and promises a festival for the senses.
The official opening takes place on Friday at 4:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. the musical program is initiated with the bagpiper Kian Johnsten, followed by a whiskey tasting with Steffen Brinkmann. The city president will open the event at 6:00 p.m., followed by a live performance by the jazz musician Andreas Pasternack from 7:00 p.m. To do this, visitors can also look forward to the "Südstrand-Combo", which creates a musical atmosphere on Saturday.

The gourmet garden not only offers delicious dishes. On Saturday, July 19th, a beer and steak tasting will continue at 11:00 a.m. Luis Dannevitz and Kian Johnsten take care of the musical entertainment at various times of the day. Special highlights are also the many stands at which the delicacies of "gourmet factory", "Ars Vivendi" and other regional providers are available for consumption.
Sunday starts with a musical morning pint at 11:30 a.m. Afterwards there is a cooking show by the Schwerin Stadtwerke - a festival of culinary delights that demonstrates how diverse and tasty regional products can be. The highlight of Sunday is the live performance of the Schwerin male choir "The Terzbuben".

But the weekend has even more to offer: On Friday, the tribute band "Baroque" at 7:00 p.m. in the Club Zenit will take off and presents itself as one of the best AC/DC interpretations in Europe with a brilliant pyro show. At the same time, music lovers can enjoy the sounds of "Tales from the Rails" in the conservatory that come up with chanson, folk and world music.
For families there is the "Pinkerz Kids Turmfest" on Saturday with a colorful program, which includes creative stations, a barefoot path and a workshop with influencer Pascal "QUALLE" Martin. The television tower becomes a stage for fun and games and offers a great atmosphere with live music and a spatial flea market until evening.
The outdoor pool Kalkwerder also invites you to the summer festival on Saturday, where visitors can look forward to an entertaining program with raffle, bouncy castle and beach volleyball - and all with free admission!
