Course content and requirements

What should the kids bring with them to take part in the swimming lessons? Children aged five and over are welcome to try out the water under the following conditions: They should not be afraid of splashes, be able to dive under water and hold their breath for five seconds. It is also necessary that they can open their eyes underwater and be able to jump into the water. A certain level of hand-foot coordination and the ability to separate from parents in a new environment are also beneficial.

The entire course is designed to last 15 hours. Registration is possible on site or by telephone, and the ASB also offers quick and uncomplicated booking. Wasserwacht Schwerin also offers interesting details about the swimming courses.

Offers for the whole family

It's not just the ASB that's going all out: the DRK Wasserwacht Parchim is also bringing a breath of fresh air with offers of help and offers swimming courses in Parchim, Dreenkrögen and Malchow. The DLRG Schwerin also organizes beginners courses, for example from August 18th to 22nd in Bad Kleinen. Anyone who is even more interested in swimming can look forward to it in the long term: the DRK Wasserwacht Schwerin is even planning swimming courses outside of the summer holidays, which will take place from November 24th.

Another highlight for sporty children is the certified swimming school of the Sport Club Siemensstadt Berlin, which promotes swimming training for children and young people in a playful and performance-oriented manner.
