Ticino plans a lot of expansion: 15 hectares of new areas for companies!
in the city of Ticino, in the Rostock district, are facing significant changes: the community plans to expand its commercial space. A total of 15 hectares are to be newly developed, which adjoin the existing commercial area "Am Tannenkopp". This initiative could not only create new space for companies, but also promote the economic development of the region. Mayor Maik Ritter (SPD) reports on already registered interests of several companies, including local companies that hope for the additional areas.
In order to implement these plans, the city has planned investments of up to 80,000 euros for necessary planning services. This decision was unanimously decided by the city representatives and shows the uniform commitment to Ticino's economic future. In addition, funds are planned in the supplementary budget in order to acquire land from private individuals and to transform them into building land. The goal is a sustainable and long -term development of the municipality and its companies.
commercial space in focus
A central concept for dealing with these challenges is the urban development plan Industry and Commerce (Step IG). Originally launched in the 1990s, it is now being revised to meet the current requirements. The Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies is working on developing innovative instruments to implement development goals. This shows that there is an increasing need for suitable commercial space in many cities, also in the Cologne region.
A look across the border
In an international comparison, one could also consider the situation in Switzerland. There are land in regions such as Cademario, Lugano. Here areas with panoramic views and good accessibility are relied. The example shows how important strategic location and infrastructure expansion are for the settlement of companies. The awareness of the space requirement of companies is growing.
Overall, it becomes clear that developments in Ticino are not only a local affair, but are in the context of a larger trend. Areas for companies are in demand and the municipalities have to adapt to meet their growing needs. With his plans, Ticino could not only do good business for himself, but also serve other cities as an example.
