Greifswald Minnsänger Sack inspires at the tournament in the Harz!
A special event in the sign of music took place last weekend on the Konradsburg in Falkenstein-Ermsleben. The 17th Falkenstein Minneturnier, which was dedicated to the minstrel Wizlaw von Rügen, attracted four talented participants, including the Greifswald Sebastian Sack, who won the audience award when he took the first participation. Sack crowned his impressive appearance with a performing performance, which included both his game on the sound and dancing interludes. This diversity was particularly well received, as NDR reports, because he delighted the audience with his motto "I want to sing after the longing complaint" and performed several songs by Wizlaw, including the well -known autumn song "Loibere Risen".
The Konradsburg, which served as an event location during the renovation work at Falkenstein Castle, offered the perfect setting for this musical spectacle. The artistic director of the tournament, Lothar Jahn, highlighted the poetic qualities of Wizlaw and emphasized his musical variety. The competition took place on July 12th and 13th and was accompanied by guests of honor, former winners and a varied accompanying program.

The event had much more to offer in addition to the appearances of the participants. Among them were Christine Zienc-Tomczak, who appeared as Kriemhild, and Holger Schäfer, who delighted the audience with harp and singing. Dagmar Jahn also did her best by embodied Wizlaw's wife Agnes. The event was moderated by the Duo Master Frauenlob and Höker Stempfel. Accompanying events such as the video view of the rügent tour of the music theater Dingo with the Singspiel "Wizlaw, the seducer" as well as a lecture by Ursel Peters and Isabel Kraft about "Wizlaw and the Music of his time" provided even more variety.
At this historic event, not only the participants played a leading role. The main prize, the award of the Castle, went to the talented Rie Kosaka from Tokyo, who got into the musical event in her own way. Sebastian Sack described his participation as "beautiful, but also stressful", which reflects the tension and at the same time the artist's euphoria. The mood on the Konradsburg was characterized by mutual respect and the joy of mining.
