Klein Jasedow and Lassan: 500,000 euros for schools and sound house!

In the small municipality of Klein Jasedow near Lassan, it is currently being tackled: with a financial boost of 500,000 euros from the Ilerl M-V program, significant modernizations are being carried out at two central facilities in the region. The Klanghaus am See and the small village school in Lassaner Winkel benefit from how the Ostsee Zeitung reported.

The small village school, which was only launched in 2017, currently has around 50 students and is an important part of the educational offer on site. The school yard is being redesigned: gravel areas are being removed, new floor substrate for flowers is being prepared and new game elements are being worked on. A ventilation system is also installed to improve the lessons for the children. The work should already be completed by the end of July.

funding and preservation of rural structures

The important funding aims to strengthen rural regions such as Klein Jasedow and Lassan as independent living and economic areas. The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) is committed to maintaining and improving the attractiveness of rural areas. An important instrument in this regard is the Common agricultural policy of the EU that has been steadily adjusted since its introduction in 2000.

The program enables municipalities to receive financial support for various developer projects. In Klein Jasedow, the sound house is also being rebuilt: in addition to a new roof, the ventilation and heating systems are renewed. These measures are crucial for the cultural infrastructure, since the sound house regularly organizes concerts and hands -on activities for the public.

redesign in Lassan

In the neighboring community of Lassan, the students of the primary school also receive financial support. On July 7th, work on the school yard redesign begin, which, in addition to new benches and gates, also includes a new laying of the pavement. Mayor Fred Gransow praises the commitment of the municipality and sees the funding a great opportunity for local community life.

In addition to the redesign, an application for renewing the local access from Waschow is currently being examined in Klein Jasedow, while another application for the renovation of the town through is still in the race. Such developments show how important it is to promote rural regions sustainably and to make their structures sustainable.

The implementation of the EU strategies for the development of rural areas will continue to be promoted thanks to the numerous programs that exist both at federal and state levels. The European GAP network supports such initiatives by shaping practices and exchanging knowledge to master the challenges of rural development, as in the European Gap Database
