Neuenkirchen, Deutschland - On June 15, 2025, the idyllic municipality of Neuenkirchen in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district becomes the scene of the popular village run, which will probably set up a new participant record this year. More than 400 active sports enthusiasts have already registered, and the hope of an even higher number of participants than the approximately 120 endurance friends 15 years ago is great. The village run offers a variety of disciplines, including running, walking, inline skats and manual biking, as well as a special family run over 999 meters. The program in detail

The mayor will give the starting signal for the family run at 12:00 p.m. At 12:30 p.m., the school runs over 1.6 km and 3.2 km follow, followed by the walkers and runners who go on the 6 km route at 1:00 p.m. Inline skaters and manual bikers start at 2:15 p.m., and for everyone slower there is the opportunity for free driving on the blocked road to Wampen from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with rock music from the band Jade from Rostock, followed by African rhythms at 11:45 a.m. For the little visitors there will be the popular white unicorn on stilts at 12:15 p.m., and from 2:00 p.m. Jade creates music again. In addition, Clown Hollino and the puppet gel will appear in the circus tent from 1:15 p.m.

The organization of the event is a joint project: over 60 helpers, including the volunteer fire brigade, the university sports community of the University of Greifswald and schoolchildren at the Bodden, are ready to make the day an unforgettable experience.
