Baltic Lights” sled dog race on Usedom: Stars for a good cause!
On November 9, 2025, there is already a lot of activity on the picturesque island of Usedom in preparation for the upcoming “Baltic Lights” sled dog race. This event, which will take place for the tenth time next year from March 6th to 8th, 2026, has established itself as a real highlight in the region. The organizer of the event, actor Till Demtrøder, managed to attract over 80 different celebrities to the Baltic Sea, including the likes of Max Giermann, Kai Wiesinger, Bettina Zimmermann and many more. These celebrities not only add sparkle to the event, but also support a good cause.
For the next edition, the pier in Heringsdorf will once again be the scene of exciting dog sled races and a charity campaign that will be carried out in collaboration with Welthungerhilfe. The proceeds from the event flow directly into the organization's projects, which are committed to fighting hunger and poverty. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase charity bracelets and take part in a raffle. With free entry to the event site and the opportunity to actively do good, numerous guests are expected again this year.
A significant increase in attention
Preparations for the event are already underway, with organizers diligently contacting advertising partners and sponsors. Now there are increasing rumors about new partnerships, which Till Demtrøder is still keeping secret. The increasing media attention is already having a positive impact on the awareness of the event, especially in southern Germany, where anticipation for the event is constantly growing.
In 2025, around 60,000 visitors flocked to the Baltic Sea, with many traveling in large groups by bus. The constellation of the Baltic Sea, dogs, celebrities and the good cause has proven to be a very special recipe for success that will remain very popular with the organizers in the future.
The connection between sport and solidarity
But what makes “Baltic Lights” so special? It is the unique combination of exciting racing and the opportunity to use the proceeds to make a difference for the community that attracts many. While the international sled dog elite give their best, spectators can not only experience an exciting competition, but also actively contribute to supporting Welthungerhilfe. Such events create an atmosphere that combines both entertainment and social responsibility. Till Demtrøder has certainly shown a good hand: by combining sport and charity, he has created an event that not only inspires, but also helps.
With its commitment, Demtrøder not only connects friends of sled racing, but also people who are prepared to take on responsibility. The coming months will certainly be exciting, and we can't wait to see what new partners and surprises the actor has in store. There is already great anticipation for the 10th anniversary of “Baltic Lights” and we invite everyone to become part of this special event!
