Circus Orandi” is moving to Karlshagen: performances from August 21st!

The “Orandi” circus has once again brought movement to the islanders’ summer. After a short time in Zinnowitz, where the performances were not permitted due to a court order, the Ortmann family packed up their tents and is now moving to Karlshagen. There the circus will set up on a picturesque meadow by the harbor. As the Baltic Sea newspaper reports, the starting signal for the new performances will be given on Thursday, August 21st. Daily performances are then scheduled at 4 p.m., with a break on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The move to Karlshagen takes place under certain time pressure. Because as many people know, the holidays are coming to an end soon in many federal states. In order to get everything done in a timely manner, Mayor Sven Käning is planning to clarify all legal questions with the public order office next Monday.

Circus through the ages

“Orandi” is no ordinary circus, but a traditional business that is now run by the eighth generation of the Ortmann family. The 5,000 euros threatened by the Vorpommern-Greifswald district as a fine reflects the intense challenges facing circuses today. The situation in Zinnowitz was particularly delicate because there was a ban on changes to the property, which made the performances there illegal.

Now that the tents are pitched in Karlshagen, visitors can look forward to a very special experience. An added bonus: The local shuttle will head to the circus on Hafenstrasse, making access easier for everyone. Many a family outing turns into an unforgettable day at the circus.

The circus not only has a long tradition, but also offers an exciting insight into the world of performances that bring joy and amazement to the audience. The circus family will stay in Karlshagen until September 14th before moving on to Rostock.

There is great anticipation for the performances - not only among circus visitors, but also among families who hope to take a little break from everyday life with a visit.

So if you're looking for some variety in your free time in the coming weeks, be sure to stop by the “Orandi” circus.
