Movie Park Bottrop surprises with new snacks and restaurant wish!

The Movie Park in Bottrop has recently announced comprehensive changes for the 2025 season, which affect both culinary innovations and considerations to expand the gastronomy in the park. Visitors can look forward to a number of new snacks and snacks that aim to diversify the gastronomic offer. Particularly noteworthy is the introduction of a new waffle, which is inspired by the popular nickelodeon series "Paw Patrol". These waffles are available with various toppings such as sprinkles, marshmallows and ice cream and are intended to appeal to the younger guests. In addition, the "Loaded Fries" remain an integral part of the offer, but now in the newly named "Hollywood Snack" and no longer in the "El Sombrero".

Although the changes in the snacks are received positively, there is an urgent desire for a real restaurant within the park among visitors. At the moment, the gastronomic offer is mainly focused on snack and fast food options. In particular, the return of the former “Van Helsing’s Club” is desired by many. This place was seen as a suitable place for "normal" food and could significantly enrich the culinary experience in the park.

The Van Helsing’s Club as a popular option

The "Van Helsing’s Club", which is located in Bottrop at Warner-Allee 1, offers a menu that includes staple foods such as Schnitzel and Chickenwings. The opening times of the restaurant are from Monday to Sunday, between 12:00 and 6:00 p.m. While the staff is valued for their efficiency and pleasant operation, some guests had below-average experiences that can be found in the Google reviews. The price range per person is between 22 and 43 euros, which is seen as a disadvantage, especially in comparison to other offers in the region. Despite this criticism, the restaurant is still recommended and could be a valuable option for Movie Park if it should return.

The 2025 amusement park season began in April, in which Movie Park also wants to highlight. The general interest in new attractions in German amusement parks is growing, such as the opening of the "GOZIBA" roller coaster in the Serengeti Park or the new ride in the Europa-Park, which is based on the "Grand Prix of Europe" movie. This variety in the amusement parks attracts seasonal visitors and underlines the need to derive in gastronomic offers.

With this developments in Movie Park and the possible comeback of the Van Helsing’s Club, it is to be hoped that visitors can not only have an enriching experience in the rides, but also at the dining tables.
