VW Golf goes up in flames: driver remains unharmed on the A31!

In a dramatic incident on Tuesday morning, a VW Golf caught fire at the A31 at Twist around 4:55 a.m. The 35-year-old driver, who apparently had technical problems, was able to quickly control his car on the hard shoulder and remained unharmed.

The fire brigade hurried to the scene of the accident with four vehicles and 20 emergency services to extinguish the fire and secure the road. Currently, the highway is only blocked on one side, while cleaning work is carried out. The amount of property damage has so far been unclear.
