Rapid pace sinner! Police chase traffic interference around schools

As part of the nationwide "Safe.Mobil.leben" campaign, the focus this year was the security of children in road traffic. The police in Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr carried out intensive controls to check the behavior of drivers near schools and kindergartens. Over 200 citizens' contacts were registered in which the officers pointed out the road users to their misconduct.

Overall, the police had to punish 54 violations, including an absolute negative record: a driver raced through the 30s zone at the Adolf Reich wine school with an incredible 54 km/h! Other traffic offenders also did not stick to the speed limits - seven more cars were traveling too quickly in Essen alone, together with five in Mülheim. The police thus sensitize the public and set a strong sign for the security of our smallest road users.
