The main customs office in Münster can show an impressive record of over two billion euros in total in 2024! The income is made up of 485 million euros in import sales tax, 777 million euros in vehicle taxes, 972 million euros in consumer taxes and 60 million euros in tariffs. This represents a slight increase compared to the previous year.

The customs authorities have achieved considerable success in the fight against drug smuggling: 7,993 vehicles and buses were checked, with 16 arrests and numerous criminal proceedings being initiated.
