Emergency doctor Nora: Danger to life on a boat trip – your commitment counts!

An exciting TV highlight awaits viewers in August! Under the title “Rügen Stubborns”, the film from 2023 looks at the challenges of the modern medical profession and the pursuit of personal balance. The main character Nora Kaminski, portrayed by the talented Tanja Wedhorn, is faced with unexpected challenges in a serious drama during a boat trip, while at the same time she wants to spend more time with her partner Max, played by Bernhard Piesk. However, this wishful thinking is quickly shaken when the captain of the boat trip suddenly collapses and Nora is forced to provide first aid. The situation escalates further when Dr. Heckmann, played by Patrick Heyn, the patient is diagnosed with a tumor, which brings additional family conflicts to light.

In her efforts to help both the patient and his sister Julia, who accuses him of not caring enough about her late mother, Nora finds herself caught in a war of emotions. Her fate reveals the challenges that many in the healthcare sector face: the balancing act between work and private life becomes a fateful balancing act for Nora. “Rügener Sturköpfe” will be broadcast on Das Erste on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 8:15 p.m. and, as das Erste reports, will be available in the ARD media library for one year immediately after broadcast.
