On June 9, 2025 around 5:00 p.m., a dramatic motorcycle accident occurred on the B27 near Braunlage, which brought two drivers to the clinic. While both drivers, a 58-year-old man on a Yamaha and a 56-year-old woman on a Honda, were traveling towards Bad Lauterberg, the Yamaha driver turned suddenly towards the campsite. The Honda driver recognized the turning lane too late and crashed into the bending motorcycle.

The consequences were serious: both motorcyclists suffered injuries. In order to record the accident, the B27 was completely closed to traffic. In addition to two ambulances, there was also a rescue helicopter. The damage to the motorcycles amounts to around 2,000 euros each. The Braunlage police are asking witnesses to report on 05520-93260.
