On Sunday, June 15, 2025, the couple Hannelore and Dieter Fischer opens their garden gate in Dibbersen. On an area of 4,000 square meters, the fishermen show an impressive collection of 250 to 300 different rose varieties. The fishermen's garden has been made accessible to the public for 17 years. In particular, as part of the Gartentour Mittelweser Association, they enrich the local garden scene. This association combines garden owners from the region that present their green oases. The special thing about this garden is that it is the only open garden from the Thedinghausen velvet community as part of this association.
peculiarities of the garden
The cake floor of the site, which was previously a sand mining area, was a major challenge for the fishermen. Thanks to the preparation by Dieter Fischer, the gravel, sand and topsoil, a garden is now blooming full of variety. Each plant is provided with its own name tag, which means that visitors can learn more about the different types of rose.
The address of the garden is Dibberser Landstraße 9, located between Eißeler Dorfstraße and Dibbersen. In addition to the roses, visitors can also discover tree species, sculptures and cozy seating. This diversity makes the Fischer's garden a unique experience for all senses.

The fascination of the roses
roses are not only omnipresent in the garden of Hannelore and Dieter Fischer; They are also among the most popular flowers in the world. Their diversity is impressive: from small and large, filled and unfilled to fragrant and non -fragrant varieties. The color palette ranges from white to pink and pink to red, orange, yellow and violet. Roses belong to the family of rose plants (rosaceae) and have a long history that goes back to antiquity.
Heimische Wildrosen such as the Hunds-Rose (Rosa Canina) and the wine rose (pink ruby nosa) are part of our cultural heritage. They have already been used by Celts and Teutons and also played an important role as medicinal plants in the Middle Ages. Breeding of modern rose varieties began in the 16th and 17th centuries and has led to a wealth of new, robust and easy -care species that beautify gardens worldwide.
