At a time when holidays are increasingly becoming an individual experience, the hotels in Saarland are at the forefront. The luxury magazine Connoisseur Circle recently honored two outstanding hotels from the region. These two hotels are not only the best in Germany in their category, but also offer a piece of the Saarland way of life for discerning travelers.
The first highlight is theLa Maison Hotel & Spain Saarlouis, which took first place in the “boutique and design hotels” category. This 4-star superior hotel houses 50 stylish rooms and suites and offers its guests, among other things, a gourmet restaurant with two Michelin stars. The Restaurant Louis, led by chef Sebastian Sandor, surprises with changing menus made from organic and rare ingredients. Also the bistroPastisleaves nothing to be desired and invites you to linger with its stylish atmosphere. As part of an expansion, the hotel will be supplemented in spring 2025 with a spa measuring around 2,000 square meters, which will offer a heated outdoor pool and various wellness treatments.
On the other side of the Saarland theSeezeitlodge Hotel & Spain Nohfelden with first place in the “Hideaways with Flair” category. The exclusive location with a view over Lake Bostal is just one of the many advantages the house has to offer. With 97 modern rooms and suites as well as an impressive wellness area, which was expanded to an impressive 5,000 square meters in summer 2023, the Seezeitlodge attracts both those seeking relaxation and nature lovers. A natural swimming pond and many other amenities complete the offer. Environmentally friendly renovations have ensured that the renovations blend harmoniously with nature.

The awards in the 2025 ranking are not just limited to the two front runners. In addition, this receivedVictor’s Residenz-Hotel Schloss Bergin Perl-Nennig a place among the best gourmet hotels.
The awards of the RELAX guide confirm that Saarland offers not only a few but also very fine wellness hotels. A total of eight hotels were awarded the “Lilien” seal of quality, including the aforementioned Seezeitlodge, which is also dog-friendly and also impresses with its modern design.
