Who will be civil laureate in 2025? Vote online now and have a say in!
This year 14 impressive people stand for the Citizens' Prize 2025 of the Altmark district of Salzwedel. The price, which is awarded for extraordinary voluntary work, is awarded by the Volksstimme , the Sparkasse Altmark West and the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel. Until July 12, 2025, the citizens can vote and thus support their favorites.
The nominations are divided into three categories that reflect the diversity of engagement in the region.
category Lebenswerk
In the category "Lebenswerk", remarkable personalities occur:
- Hartmut Bock : 80 years old and retired teacher, he is not only an honorary citizen, but also the bearer of the Federal Cross of Merit. Bock has dealt intensively with the local history of the Altmark and was instrumental in building up the working group of young historians, who today acts as a club young archaeologists of Altmark.
- Konrad Fuchs : A volunteer through and through, Fuchs has been involved in the sports club SV Heide Jävenitz and SSV 80 Gardelegen for over 50 years. He was also active as chairman of the support association of the Feldscheune Memorial and supervises memorial stone sponsorships.
- Peter Timme : As a 75-year-old, Timme brings his knowledge as a committed member of the association of German engineers (VDI). He is known for the establishment of the VDI symposium "Energy Management and Environment" in Gardelegen, with the aim of inspiring young people for technology.
category everyday heroes
The category "everyday heroes" gives an insight into the everyday work of tireless helpers:
- Hans-Christian Biank : At 36, Bians headed the community church council and is active in the municipal council. He organizes both services and important construction projects for his community.
- Maik Grimm : The chairman of the Arendsee Water Sports Association is committed to the leisure activities of children and young people and organizes numerous events.
- Andrea Jürges : Jürges is involved in music education as head of the men's choir Concordia Kusey and also teaches at the Gardelegen high school.
- Doris Tepelmann and Christel Rosenbaum : Tepelmann, chair of the Heimatfreunde Beetzendorf, is working intensively on the local history and revitalization of the good park. Rosenbaum is a co -founder of the "Healthy region of Beetzendorf" and organizes cultural events for the community.
category Kultur-Mensch

- dr. Daniel Graf : Doctor and director of the Kalbe church choir who is passionate about music.
- Ingrid Lemme : This committed lady leads the Heimat- und Kulturverein Tylsen and organizes many cultural events in their region.
- Tilo Motschall : As chairman of the association "IPSE Excitare", Motter sound contributes to the preservation of culture and church care.
- Alexander Prinz : He is head of the Ichthys church choir and is actively involved in the community.
- Anja Rohrdiek : This creative initiator promotes cultural projects and combines people in her region.
- Michael Wolter : As the founder of the Jazz interest group, Wolter has significantly advanced the live music scene in Salzwedel.
The vote takes place online via the website the folk voice as well as analogous by submitting an original coupon. The winners will be announced on September 13, 2025 as part of the open new territory festival and music festival Altmark at the Lindstedt estate.
