Background of the decision
For the municipality of Hollnseth, the step of handing over operational management was already in the clear a year ago. The human and financial resources there were simply not sufficient to run the daycare center independently. Soon afterwards, the communities of Stinstedt and Mittelstenahe also joined this decision. Although Armstorf has also made a similar decision, it already has a management contract with the DRK district association Cuxhaven/Land Hadeln, which will only have a minor impact on the transition.
Frank Springer highlights the advantages of this transfer. The joint municipality will not only have more financial resources, but will also enable more flexible staff deployment in order to better fulfill the legal right to care. This should not be underestimated, as the demands on child care have increased in recent years.
