Celebrate diversity: Intercultural week begins in the Börde district!
There is an exciting event coming up in the Börde district: The nationwide Intercultural Week will take place from September 21st to 28th, 2025, and the district is actively involved. Under the motto “FOR!” This week the focus will be on openness, tolerance and social cohesion. landkreis-boerde.de reports that the Intercultural Week has been celebrated with enthusiasm in Germany for 50 years and has the goal of making cultural diversity visible and promoting intercultural dialogue.
The event program is designed to be varied and implemented in cooperation with local partners. Highlight events in the district ensure an exciting week: There will be a salsa workshop by the Kulturfabrik Haldensleben, while the roundabout guard in Oschersleben will focus on social issues on the “Integration Meeting for Safety” action day. Music and cuisine are also not neglected at the Café International meeting party in Haldensleben - here visitors mingle with each other over international dishes and stimulating conversations. For the little guests, the Child Protection Association organizes a creative children's festival with numerous activities and play opportunities.
Standing together for diversity
The motto “FOR!” encourages all citizens to actively participate and to work towards respectful coexistence. The organizers warmly invite everyone to take part in the various events and celebrate with like-minded people. The Migration Coordination Office is responsible for planning and implementing the week.
