Important training for hunters: Trichina samples on November 20th!
An important training event for hunters is on the program in Cologne on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The Börde district office for health and consumer protection invites you to a training course on taking trichina samples. This measure is essential because the proper collection of samples is an important public service task and can be delegated to hunters after appropriate training. Dr. Vorwallner will lead the event and provide information on the topic.
The training begins at 4:30 p.m. and is expected to last approximately 2.5 hours. The venue is the Haldensleben district administration at Bornsche Straße 2, in the Börde consultation room. Only people who can show a valid hunting license can take part in the training. After successful participation, hunters receive an invoice and a certificate of participation on the same day. The participation fee is 20 euros per person and must be paid exclusively by bank transfer.
Important information about registration
Prior registration is required for interested participants. This can be done by telephone on 03904 7240-2502 or 03904 7240-4310. After registering, participants will receive a personal invitation and further information about the event. There are also sufficient parking spaces available at the administration building, so that the journey can be made uncomplicated.
Trichina sampling is not only a duty, but also a sign of responsible hunting. The transfer of official duties to hunters is usually lifelong and is intended to help improve wildlife law enforcement. At a time when it is more important than ever to enjoy game in a safe and responsible manner, this training is a step in the right direction.
The initiative for this training shows the Börde district's commitment to supporting hunters in their work and promoting quality food safety. Not only are the hunters themselves trained, but the public is also made more aware of their concerns.
For further information about the event and to register, please visit the Börde district website. It might be worth taking advantage of this opportunity for further training!
