The Advent season is approaching, and with it a beautiful tradition begins in Dessau-Roßlau: The Soroptimists have presented the Advent calendar for 2025. The calendar will be available at eleven points of sale in the city from today, November 1st, and costs five euros. This year the initiative is relying on a total of 7,000 calendars, which will be available until November 26th. Each calendar has an individual number, which means it also serves as a lottery ticket. Up to four winners can be chosen every day and can look forward to attractive prizes.

What can buyers expect? A total of 72 prizes are hidden in the calendar, including valuable cash prizes ranging from 150 to 500 euros. Particularly exciting: The highest cash amount remains secret until the respective door day! In addition to the cash prizes, participants can also win Bundesliga football tickets, a voucher for the Mercedes-Benz Collection and many other vouchers for cosmetics, services, home accessories and carpentry work. There are also valuable prizes such as a children's bicycle or a professional cordless screwdriver set. The net proceeds flow into projects and initiatives that support particularly socially disadvantaged children, young people and women in Dessau-Roßlau. The beneficiary organizations include Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and the “Helping Hands” association.
