Handball sensation: DRHV starts the new season with high excitement!
The handball second division team Dessau-Roßlauer HV 06 (DRHV 06) is in the starting blocks for an exciting new season. The schedule for the first half of the 2025/26 season has been published and brings interesting challenges for the team. It starts on August 31st with an away game at VfL Lübeck-Schwartau, with the game kicking off at 5 p.m. in the Hansehalle MZ reported.
A week later, on September 6th, DRHV 06 has its first home game in the Anhalt Arena. The opponent is none other than VfL Potsdam, who were recently relegated from the first division. This duel already promises a lot of excitement. The scheduling of the match fell into the hands of the television station “Dyn”, which set an important date for handball fans.
Exciting encounters and changes
But it's not just the opening phase that's tough: on November 24th, the team will play against Eintracht Hagen, also in their own hall. After the first games, fans expect two away games before the home games against HSG Nordhorn-Lingen and TuS Ferndorf in December. A very special highlight of the first half of the season is the Christmas derby against HC Elbflorenz Dresden, which will take place on December 26th at 4 p.m. in the Anhalt Arena.
It is also important to mention that the game against TuSEM Essen must be rescheduled due to a ruling by the Federal Court of the German Handball Federation (DHB) on June 11, 2025. This happened after the rating of the game on matchday 29 of the 2024/25 season was overturned in the second instance, according to the club's website, drhv06.de, explained.
