Serious accident at the Lingenauer triangle: Peugeot and Opel collide!
On June 19, 2025, around 9:30 a.m. on the B184, near the Lingenauer triangle, a serious traffic accident occurred. A 54-year-old driver of a Peugeot tried to overtake several vehicles when he collided head-on with an oncoming Opel, whose 73-year-old driver was also involved. Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the accident, while their cars were no longer ready to drive after the collision and had to be towed. The property damage incurred is estimated at around 15,000 euros.
The accident led to considerable traffic disruptions on the B184. The street had to be completely closed during the accident recording and the salvage. Fortunately, the connection between Dessau-Süd and the A9 could be released again at 12:15 p.m., so that the traffic gradually got rolling again. Such incidents make it clear how important it is to keep traffic safety in mind.
The location of traffic safety
in Germany, as in other European countries, the exact recording of traffic accidents is an essential part of the traffic safety strategy. According to the statistics of the Federal Statistical Office, the data on traffic accidents are used not only for the analysis of the event itself, but also for the development of measures in legislation as well as for improving traffic education, road construction and vehicle technology. The statistics of destatis offer extensive insights into the structures of accidents, the drivers involved and the causes, which in many cases are of decisive influence on the number of accidents.
Another aspect that is becoming increasingly important is the cross -traffic risk analysis. This not only creates an overview of the accidents with personal injury or property damage, but also includes accidents when transporting dangerous goods, which could further increase security on our streets.
safety data from Europe
In order to obtain a complete picture of traffic safety, the data at European level is also important. Eurostat thus offers an excellent resource that provides information on traffic accidents and its consequences. This data is important for state traffic policy and help to specifically improve the infrastructure and take security measures.
In view of the increasing number of vehicles and increasing traffic density, it is crucial that every road user assumes responsibility. Vigilance and respect in road traffic can make a decisive contribution to minimizing the risk of accidents such as that on the Lingenauer triangle.Details | |
