Outdoor swimming pools in Saxony-Anhalt: price increase and opening times in 2025!

Summer is in full swing and the outdoor pools in Saxony-Anhalt are opening their doors to bathers. The weather invites you to refresh yourself in the cool water and the prices in the pools seem moderate at first glance - but let's take a closer look at what summer 2025 has to offer you in the outdoor pools.

In Quedlinburg, the heated sports pool has been open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. since April 1st. Entrance fees start at 2.25 euros for children and 3.75 euros for adults, which is quite attractive for families. In the state capital Halle, the Heidebad is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from May to August. Children between the ages of 5 and 14 pay 5 euros, schoolchildren and students pay 6 euros and adults pay 7 euros. The Saline and the Nordbad also offer entry prices starting at 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children. The offers for visiting the Nienburg outdoor pool are also pleasing: it opened on June 1st.

Quite a bit more expensive

But bathing fun has its price: like that MDR reported that there are price increases in many outdoor pools. One example is the Eisleben outdoor swimming pool, which had to raise its prices for the first time in 20 years. Small children are still allowed in free of charge, children between 6 and 16 years pay 2 euros, while adults pay 5 euros. The background to the price increases is the sometimes exorbitant costs for energy and maintenance, which is causing a lot of headaches for many operators.

The starting prices for the outdoor pools vary depending on the region. While the forest pool in Dessau opened on May 1st with an entrance fee of 5 euros for everyone aged 4 and over, young outdoor pools such as the Großalslebener Freibad already have entry prices of just 1.50 euros for children and 3 euros for adults. Bookings for family day tickets also remain a common reason for many people to flock to the outdoor pools. In Magdeburg, for example, family day tickets start at 12 euros - very tempting for families with several children.

Look at the price trends

However, those who go to the spas should be aware that prices have risen up to 62% since last year, according to a study by German stage emerges. Admission to the Nordbad and the Saline in Halle has increased by a hefty 0.70 euros, which is equivalent to 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for students. In Weißenfels, too, bathers pay 4 euros, reduced to 2.50 euros - organizations and municipalities are called upon to bring this price increase into balance.

Armed with this information, you should plan your visit to the outdoor pool well and check the offers based on your needs. Don't let it spoil your fun - all of the pools have their own charm and are a welcome way to cool off in the hot season!
