Soccer star Kimmich supports fundraiser for little Sebastian

A very special event is coming up in the tranquil town of Ilsenburg that will touch the hearts of the local people. On Saturday, November 15th, the local fire department's support association invites you to a donation lantern parade under the motto “Lantern Lights”. It starts at 5 p.m. at the entrance to the Forellen Park, where young and old come together to light up for a good cause.

Why this move? The answer lies with six-year-old Sebastian, who is battling a brain tumor. The support association has set itself the goal of relieving the financial burden on the little fighter's family in order to make the difficult time that lies ahead a little more bearable. Many thanks to the soccer star and captain of the German national team, Joshua Kimmich, who is also committed to this matter of the heart. He has provided a signed jersey that will be auctioned off. Those interested in bidding can send their bids by email to wir-help-sebastian@gmx.de by midnight on Thursday.

A big step for the family

The auction of the jersey was originally planned for a charity tournament in January, but information from people close to [Goslarsche] reports that this was brought forward. Sebastian needs immediate support and so the move was initiated. In addition, the Harz Association for Children with Cancer has set up a donation account to give a wider range of supporters the opportunity to help.

Drinks and food are also offered during the lantern parade. A special attraction is the offer of heart pillows, which are available for a donation. This small gesture is not only intended to provide security, but also to send a sign of solidarity.

Strong together

The commitment to Sebastian crosses party lines and shows how important community support is in difficult times. This circumstance comes at a time when many initiatives are bringing our country together. One of them is [We Kick Corona], which has launched numerous projects to support food banks, hospitals and homeless people with over 6 million euros. This type of concrete, on-site help has proven particularly valuable in responding directly to people's needs.

It is gratifying to see the community and numerous organizations coming together to make positive changes in the current situation. Together they put an end to the darkness and set an example of hope and support - for Sebastian and many others.
