You can't avoid a visit to the Mansfelder Land region, which is deeply rooted in the history of mining and the Reformation. Here, where copper slate was once mined for a long time, you can not only admire the evidence of mining, but also immerse yourself in the world of the Reformation.
This is definitely a highlightLuther Housein Eisleben, which is considered the birthplace of Martin Luther. It houses the impressive exhibition “That's why I am – Martin Luther and Eisleben”, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until October. Admission for adults is just 5 euros, reduced admission is 2.50 euros. If you visit the death house straight away with the combination ticket, you will get a much cheaper price.

It's not far awayMansfeld Museumin Hettstedt, which documents the history of mining and copper smelting. Here, visitors can, among other things, marvel at a replica of Watt's first steam engine. The museum is open Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and entry costs 5 euros, reduced price 3 euros.

Would you like a very special view? TheJoseph's CrossStolberg towers over the region at 38 meters high and you can climb 200 steps to the viewing platform. Entry costs 4 euros, reduced price 2.50 euros.
