Education march in Burg: fight for better schools and fair lessons!

Burg, Deutschland - The 3rd educational march in Burg is just around the corner! On Monday, June 16, numerous citizens of the city will go on the streets to fight for important education topics. Initiators of the march, Yvonne Grundmann and Jacqueline Gentzsch, are passionate about improving the terms of education in their region. As reports Meetingpoint, this will be an important event that mobilizes the voices of the people in Burg.

In front of the Diesterweg secondary school, not much has happened since the first school conference, except that the school now receives a second educational employee, which reflects the increasing number of students. Among other things, the initiators demand that there are no cuts in the lessons and that teachers urgently need more support. Especially smaller classes, more specialists and sufficient time for preparation and training are on the wish list of the committed.

The new school law in Saxony-Anhalt

At the same time, this movement is influenced by the current political situation. On Wednesday, June 11th, the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt decided a new school law, which was described as a milestone for the educational landscape. Minister of Education Eva Feussner announced that the amendment brings far -reaching changes to create a better school structure. According to mz.de, the focus is increasingly on school associations, flexibility in the school organization and the increase in minimum number of students.

The GEW, on the other hand, criticizes this novella as a continuation of the cuts that have already burdened many children, parents and teachers. Ingo Doßmann from the Saxony-Anhalt warns that pupils with special learning needs in this reform are not sufficiently taken into account. The demands are clear:> Education must be accessible to everyone without making cuts in quality.

The opinions of the citizens

On the evening of June 16, the citizens in Burg will have the opportunity to express their opinion on the amendment to the school law. This discussion could be of great importance for the city and its schools. Education is not only perceived as the foundation for individual well -being, but also as a key to social justice and participation.

The school law itself was designed to take current developments into account and to clearly define the school policy objectives. Terms such as "breed" fall from the legal text and an adaptation of the school career recommendations is sought. For many, this is a step in the right direction, while others, like the parliamentary groups, bring the left and alliance 90/The Greens deviating changes to guarantee even more progress, as on the page Landtag Saxony-Anhalt.

Saxony-Anhalt has to struggle with a lack of teachers that can only be mitigated to a limited extent by the new regulations. From August 1, 2027, there will be minimum number of school students, which will be higher in primary schools and secondary schools. This could cause small, often rural schools to close what the educational community divides.

The city of Burg is facing a lively and decisive week. Citizens' engagement is required to set the course for the future of education. A good hand indeed!
