Heart pain and harmonies: Loburger organ summer enchants on June 15th!

Loburg, Deutschland - in Loburg there will be a special highlight for all music enthusiasts on Sunday, June 15th: the second concert of the “Loburger organ summer” concert series takes place in the St. Laurentiuskirche. At 5 p.m., the Otto-Schott-Chor from Jena brings the church to sound. This choir has already made a name for itself in the past when he appeared in the Loburger church and received ovation for it.

The Otto-Schott-Chor, which has existed since 2000, has a diverse repertoire and enthusiastic audience as well as juries alike. So he recently won a special prize for the "best performance of a contemporary work" at the German Chorfest 2022 in Leipzig. With around 40 singers who consist of a colorful mix of former students from the Otto-Schott-Gymnasium and career changers, the choir brings a feeling of community and family with every appearance. The choir directors Maike Jonetz-Mentzel and Christian Herrmann support this atmosphere, while the founding initiator Kathrin Sadewasser continues to actively sings in the choir and assisting voice training.

a program full of heart

The concert evening is under the motto "heart matters". Pieces of composers such as Schütz, Britten and Mätyjärvi as well as selected folk songs and modern pop songs are planned. The extraordinary type of choir to replace instruments with vocalharmonies such as in "Take on Me" and "Bicycle Race" gives the performance a fresh, special charm.

Participation is free of charge for everyone, but donations are requested at the output. This support helps to ensure the "Loburger organ summer" series in the future. Events like this are of great importance for the local cultural scene and contribute significantly to the enrichment of the community.

choir community and commitment

Furthermore, the commitment of the Otto-Schott choir is not only shown in concerts, but also in social projects and benefit events. Every year they take part in competitions and perform concerts on the third weekend in Advent in and around Jena. The choir work is also characterized by leisure activities such as beach volleyball tournaments and rehearsal weekends that strengthen the cohesion in the team. Information and support for amateur lists can also be found on the amateur music portal, which provides many tips on organization and networking.

Overall, the second concert evening of the “Loburger Organ Summer” promises an unforgettable musical pleasure and an invitation to everyone to feel comfortable in the choir society. So if you are not planning yet, you shouldn't miss this event - a really good business for your heart and soul!
