An exciting weekend is just around the corner! On June 21, 2025, the region around Magdeburg will come to life with several events, and there will be something for every taste. Whether you're a train enthusiast, want to enjoy top-notch music or simply want to have a good time with the family, the options are endless.
It starts early on Saturday morning with the **special trip to Halberstadt**, organized by the Magdeburg Railway Friends e.V.. The trains leave Möser for Halberstadt at 9 a.m., with an intermediate stop at Magdeburg main station. Take a look behind the scenes with factory tours at VIS Halberstadt, where, among other things, the repair of historic passenger carriages is presented. This is not just exciting for railway fans: the on-board catering makes the journey a pleasant experience. Tickets are available for €39 for adults and €35 for children up to 14 years old.
Music Festival
From 4 p.m. it's time to cast off for the maritime event of the **Fête de la Musique** in the Magdeburg marina. Here visitors can expect live music and an incomparable ambience. While you listen to the sounds of the local acts, various culinary offerings ensure your physical well-being. An absolute must for foodies and music lovers. Admission prices are not yet known, but the atmosphere will definitely be unique.
Family festival in the Elbarenpark and city festival in Jerichow
For the young and old adventure seekers among us, the **WOBAU holiday fun** is taking place in the Elbarenpark until July 31st. There are bouncy castles, bungee trampolines and much more here every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is only €5, which is a real bargain!
Not far away, in Jerichow, the **first city festival** is celebrated on the same day. From 11 a.m., guests can look forward to a colorful program with games and fun for the whole family as well as culinary delicacies. The live band from 8 p.m. will round off the festival musically, and entry is free for everyone. That's one more reason to set off with friends or family!
Beyond the region
A look beyond the state borders shows that the **Thalheim City Festival** will be celebrated in Saxony from June 19th to 29th, 2025. It's about 100 years of city law and 64 years of the International T(h)alheim Meeting. Attending these celebrations could prove to be a successful excursion, highlighted by a varied program with live music, parades and various exhibitions.
