In recent weeks, Magdeburg has repeatedly made headlines with criminal activity, which not only causes excitement but also great concern among the population. The attack on a married couple that took place in their own home is particularly worrying. There they were tied up and robbed like that MDR reports.
The incident occurred last Saturday in the Salbke district. Two unknown perpetrators broke into the 69-year-old's single-family home, tied up the couple and threatened them. The robbers escaped with cash and valuable watches in a white van. Luckily, the couple managed to free themselves and called 911. The police responded immediately with a large contingent and searched intensively for the getaway vehicle, a white VW. Despite the use of a helicopter, it has so far remained untraceable. The State Criminal Police Office has already secured evidence at the crime scene and the investigation is in full swing.

The perpetrators also damaged the car tires, making it impossible for the couple to drive away. The police have released a phantom photo and are now looking for witnesses. Whether it was a targeted act with insider knowledge or not remains unclear.
