An honorable award was recently presented in the Old Town Hall of Magdeburg that recognizes the commitment of an outstanding citizen. Mayor Simone Borris presented Helmut Herdt with the Badge of Honor of the State of Saxony-Anhalt. This award pays respect to his many years of voluntary work for the city and the country. He is also involved in the advisory board for Jewish life in Saxony-Anhalt. A strong sign of social cohesion, which was also recognized in 2022 when he was immortalized in the state capital's Golden Book for his voluntary work.
