Drunk driving ends in crash: 52-year-old injured and arrested!
An exciting evening in Lodersleben led to a traffic accident that called the police to the scene. On Monday evening, around 9 p.m., a 52-year-old driver was caught behind the wheel of his vehicle while heavily intoxicated. How Saxony-Anhalt Reportedly, the driver left the road while driving and collided with a car parked on the side of the road. This vehicle was not only damaged, but also pushed onto a wall and caused a lot of property damage. A breath alcohol test showed a shocking level of 1.79 per mille. The driver required medical treatment but apparently escaped with minor injuries. Nevertheless, an investigation was initiated against him.
However, the situation in Lodersleben is not the only news that is currently affecting the region. In Teutschenthal, a single-family home was targeted by burglars. An emergency call alerted the police after the perpetrators had forced their way into the building. They broke a window and then escaped, although it is not yet known how much damage was caused. An investigation was launched and forensic science was on site to search for clues.
Shots from the balcony and accidents with wildlife
Another incident occurred in Bad Dürrenberg, where a man shot from the balcony with an air rifle. That morning, the police alerted the emergency services at 6:55 a.m. due to loud arguments. The rifle was recovered, while one person was slightly injured by the shots. The 38-year-old was found in his apartment and several reports were filed against him.
Before the day had even really started, an accident with wildlife occurred in Wettin-Löbejün. A car collided with a deer at 6:30 this morning. Luckily, after being injured, the deer kept running and escaped. The vehicle, on the other hand, had to expect material damage, which, however, is of secondary importance in this case.
Searches and drug discoveries
The police also recorded an escape attempt at the weekend. In Merseburg, a cyclist evaded a check on Naumburger Straße on the night of Monday to Tuesday. He ignored police stop signals and threw a bag over a fence to avoid arrest. However, the police were able to successfully end the escape attempt and secure two bags containing drugs and drug paraphernalia in the bag. Investigations have already been initiated against the 39-year-old man.
In the region around Lodersleben, Teutschenthal and Bad Dürrenberg it is once again clear that the police are required to deal with such incidents and ensure security. Regardless of whether it is a traffic accident, a break-in or an argument, the challenges are diverse and the investigative measures are in full swing.
