The “Picnic Under the Stars” event begins daily6 p.mand promises not only observation of the fascinating night sky, but also culinary delights.
When the weather is clear, you have the best opportunity to see the breathtaking meteor shower Perseids to observe. Visitors who bring their own picnic basket and blanket are welcome to enjoy the stars in a friendly atmosphere. For those who want a more relaxed atmosphere, delicious grilled food and cool drinks are available at the summer bar.
Perseids and Co. – An astronomical spectacle
The Perseids, also affectionately known as the “Tears of Lawrence,” are one of the most prolific meteor showers and promise up to100 shooting stars per hour, especially at the peak of their maximum on the night ofAugust 12th. These fascinating celestial events are a perfect spectacle for those who don't want to miss the view of the night sky.
For interested astronomy fans it will be onAugust 13th at 9 p.ma special one30 minute short lecturefrom the Society for Astronomical Education. Participants then have the opportunity to observe the sky through telescopes. All star lovers can look forward to impressive views;
