Saxony-Anhalt starts digital revolution in the hospital system!
Sachsen-Anhalt, Deutschland - Saxony-Anhalt today sets an important milestone in the implementation of the nationwide hospital reform. From now on, all hospital operators in the country can apply for performance groups for fully inpatient somatic care as part of the digital application process. As the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Equality informs, the online platform Klaas (hospital-state application analysis system) is available. All affected hospitals have already registered and can now tackle the challenges of digitization. Saxony-Anhalt reports .
Minister of Health Petra Grimm-Benne emphasizes how important the creation of a modern hospital landscape with clear quality standards is. And that is completely paperless: the entire correspondence and communication with the Saxony-Anhalt Medical Service are completely digitally. This not only facilitates the process of application, but also shows how serious efforts to make transparency and efficiency in healthcare are taken. The minister also calls for the final requirements of the Federal Ministry of Health for new performance groups.
News from the transformation fund
Another key factor in this reform is the health fund, which was played for the structural and digital transformation of the hospital landscape. The so -called hospital transformation fund (KHTF) offers hospitals the opportunity to apply for funding for various projects. These include the construction of telemedical networks and the establishment of additional training capacities. KPMG reports .
The funded measures can refer to construction and renovation measures, as can on IT and communication systems as well as the necessary medical-technical equipment. In order for the projects to be promoted, they must meet economic sustainability and are not allowed to be financed through other programs. Another important point is that the applications for the support by September 30 of the previous year must be submitted to the respective federal states.
the big whole
According to information from the Federal Ministry of Health , the transformation fund is funded with up to 25 billion euros from the liquidity reserve of the health fund, in addition Federal states also provide 25 billion euros. This financial support aims to promote innovative projects to improve inpatient care. This also includes structures for rare and complex diseases as well as integrated emergency structures.
With these comprehensive measures and a clear focus on digitization and quality assurance, the course for a future -proof hospital landscape is set. The performance groups must be assigned by the end of October 2026 at the latest, which will be valid from 2027. Saxony-Anhalt is ready to be adaptable if there are changes nationwide. At the moment, the country can access an infrastructure of 44 hospitals at 53 locations, including two university clinics and two maximum suppliers.
