From now on, all hospital operators in the country can apply for performance groups for fully inpatient somatic care as part of the digital application process. The minister also calls for the final requirements of the Federal Ministry of Health for new performance groups.

News from the transformation fund

Another key factor in this reform is the health fund, which was played for the structural and digital transformation of the hospital landscape. The so -called hospital transformation fund (KHTF) offers hospitals the opportunity to apply for funding for various projects. These include the construction of telemedical networks and the establishment of additional training capacities. KPMG reports .

In order for the projects to be promoted, they must meet economic sustainability and are not allowed to be financed through other programs.
