Saxony-Anhalt is looking for 364 new teachers-apply now!

In a current step towards strengthening the education sector, Saxony-Anhalt has advertised 364 new jobs for teachers. This is part of a comprehensive personnel offensive that aims to strengthen the schools in the country in terms of personnel and to establish a future -proof. Specialists in special schools, secondary schools and community schools are particularly in demand. As part of the personnel offensive, another round of tender for pedagogical staff will also be started in order to further improve the situation in the schools. A total of 95 positions are to be filled in general educational forms, with the focus on elementary, support and secondary schools. The deadline for these applications ends on May 13, 2025. The situation at schools in Saxony-Anhalt is tense, especially at secondary schools, where there is a lack of teachers. In order to counter this challenge, the country plans to use helpers in class. A new personnel category, the so-called "pedagogical teaching aids", is to be created. The aim is to reduce the loss of teaching and relieve the teachers. The climatic framework for the helpers are also clear: they should be used 60% in class and 40% in the supporting area.

To support this initiative, 200 additional forces are stopped at secondary, community and comprehensive schools.
