Freital and RSV Eintracht celebrate home victories: dramatic turns in the top league!

The 10th matchday of the NOFV-Oberliga Süd brought clear conditions at the top of the table and new worries for some teams in the basement of the table. The spectators in Freital were able to enjoy a home win for their SC Freital, who defeated bottom team 1. SC 1911 Heiligenstadt 2-0. As fupa.net reports, the game had an exciting course: After a goalless first half, Paul Horschig scored the first goal for Freital in the 77th minute. The final point was set by the guests from Heiligenstadt, who had to act outnumbered in the 71st minute after a yellow-red card for Sebastian Möhlhenrich when Moritz Herold made everything clear in stoppage time.

In the other matches, Bischofswerda was able to shake up the table with a 3-1 win against Lok Stendal. Stendal, which took the lead through Philip Witte in the 50th minute, ultimately faced Leon Noah Scholze, who scored two goals for Bischofswerda. This leaves Stendal still sweating in the bottom of the table with just seven points. Grimma also played an exciting game against Glauchau and won 3-2 after they were still behind at halftime. In the 4th minute, Colin Ullmann gave Glauchau the lead, but Grimma turned the game around with three goals after the break.

RSV Eintracht dominates Wernigerode

RSV Eintracht 1949 also did their best and defeated Wernigerode 3-1. Eintracht took an early lead through Till Plumpe in the 11th minute. Gino Dörnte equalized in the 28th minute, but Maximilian Farwig saw a red card in the 32nd minute and put the guests in a difficult position. With their goals, Lukas Dirk-Andre Sommer and Endi Jupolli ensured Eintracht's deserved victory, which keeps Wernigerode firmly in the bottom of the table.

In another game, Auerbach and Sandersdorf played out a 0-0 draw. This hard-fought game in front of 268 spectators showed that both teams lacked the necessary assertiveness to get themselves on the road to victory. On the other hand, Halle had a dramatic 3-3 draw against Krieschow after a 3-0 lead, which tested the team's morale and the nerves of the fans.

The next challenges

SC Freital's cup game against third division club Erzgebirge Aue is scheduled for March 23rd, which will be played in Grimma thanks to the state of construction of the stadium in Freital and the maintenance work in Aue. Department head Daniel Wirth commented on the possibility of integrating young players into the team, which brings fluctuations but can also offer great opportunities. Freital has already collected seven points in the last three games and moved up to seventh place in the table - a step in the right direction for the team.

Next week, fans can look forward to the meeting between VFC Plauen and Bischofswerdaer FV, where both teams are separated by just one point and the starting position makes for an exciting game. And so it remains to be seen who can stand out from the competition on the next match day.
