Start now” job fair in Stendal: Young talents on the way to their dream job!

On November 9, 2025, the first job fair “Start now” took place in Stendal, which aimed to open up exciting perspectives for the region’s young people. The trade fair, which was organized by Ulf Plata, the trade fair project manager, offered a platform for 19 companies and institutions to present themselves and also give tips on choosing a career. According to Plata, many young people often approach the job search too superficially or have wrong ideas about skilled trades. The trade fair is intended to help here.

Josefine Richter, a committed high school graduate, demonstrated her craftsmanship by bending an aluminum wire into a complicated shape in the Stendal district office. Christine Bunke, who came from Salzwedel from the Priro company, was impressed by her skills. “Presentations at trade fairs are important to give young people an understanding of the diversity of careers,” she explained.

Diverse offers and support

At the job fair, around 200 visitors had the opportunity to have their application documents checked by experts and receive immediate feedback. Marcus Engelmann from the Süd social station in Stendal spoke about the often prevailing prejudices against nursing professions and the actual opportunities in this industry. This personal approach is appreciated by many young people. Lucy Rehbrecht, 19 years old, said that she often feels overwhelmed when searching for information on the Internet and that face-to-face conversations help her much more.

The trade fair showed how important it is to support young people in their career choices and to introduce them to careers that may not immediately catch their eye. For many, it was an opportunity to talk directly to employers and find out about different options.

A look outside the box – cloud gaming

A lot has also happened in a completely different world, that of gaming. Boosteroid, the largest independent cloud gaming provider in the world, is growing in popularity. With over 1,700 video games supported and a network of 27 data centers providing gaming access to more than 6 million users in Europe and North and South America, the company has occupied an important place in the market. The gameplay is streamed over the Internet, which ensures a low-latency gaming experience.

Founded in Ukraine and now headquartered in Austin, Texas, Boosteroid shows how diverse the possibilities of the digital world have become - especially for young people who are often torn between traditional careers and new technology jobs. The synergies between gaming and professional training could be particularly important for Gen Z, who seek both engagement and fun in their activities.

In summary, both the job fair in Stendal and developments like those from Boosteroid once again illustrate how valuable personal contacts and innovative technologies are in today's professional world. The opportunities for young people are diverse and we can only hope that they will courageously seize these opportunities.
