On the night of November 12, 2025, the Fischbeck (Elbe) region in the Stendal district experienced a very special spectacle in the sky. Amateur photographer Julian Werder from Stromchasing Brandenburg captured the fascinating natural spectacle in impressive time-lapse images that document the development of the northern lights over the Elbe sky.
Anyone who wanted to see the Northern Lights in Fischbeck was lucky in the second half of the night, despite the thin veil of clouds floating above the sky.
