There is great anticipation in the Saxony-Anhalt Football Association (FSA), because the 10th Ordinary Association Day is coming up on September 13, 2025 fsa-online.de reported. There are several new elections on the agenda here: The board of the FSA as well as the chairmen and members of the legal bodies are being re-elected. The list of nominations received will also be presented in this context.
The nominations for the FSA board already show interesting names. President Holger Stahlknecht (Wellen), among others, is running for office again. There are also exciting applicants for the positions of vice president: Jörg Bihlmeyer from Köthen and Carsten Voigt from Halle want to take on responsibility in gaming. René Cunaeus from Wanzleben/Seehausen is recommended for finances, while Robin Berndt (Braunsbedra/Krumpa) and Tilo Seiten Glanz (Wettin-Löbejün) are responsible for promoting young talent and women.

The election proposals are an expression of the commitment and willingness to take on responsibility in German amateur football. According to the current membership of the FSA, which amounts to 91,575, it is impressive how many footballers and clubs all work together under the umbrella of the FSA.
The FSA is changing
Since its founding on August 19, 1990 in Magdeburg, the FSA has undergone impressive development. As the umbrella organization of all football clubs in Saxony-Anhalt, it now includes 708 clubs and almost 2,700 teams. The association colors black and yellow are a well-known symbol of the commitment and identity of the FSA.
The variety of football on offer in Saxony-Anhalt ranges from men's football to youth teams. The highest leagues such as the men's association league and the corresponding leagues for A, B, C and D juniors form the heart of football in the region. In addition, the FSA also organizes the state cups for women and all youth classes.
