Wittenberg Training Fair: Over 100 providers for your career!

The countdown is running! Next Saturday, the 28th edition of the Wittenberg district's training fair will take place at the Mittelfeld vocational school. More than 100 exhibitors have registered this year, more than ever before - last year there were only 96 exhibitors. Once again, the trade fair has a clear goal: to offer future trainees and prospective students the opportunity to find out about a wide range of professional fields and to make important contacts. District Administrator Christian Tylsch will attend the event and has already emphasized how important this fair is for the career orientation of young people.

The doors are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and visitors can look forward to a variety of around 125 professions! Numerous companies are represented, particularly in the areas of IT, crafts, care and administration. New this year are, among others, the Wittenberg Day Clinic and the Dessau-Wörlitz Cultural Foundation, which are presenting their training offerings. The physical well-being of the guests is also taken care of: a barbecue stand and ice cream sales are available in the outdoor area.

Attractive opportunities and direct exchange

As in previous years, the training fair is the ideal place for direct exchange between students and companies. “Here, young people can talk directly to HR managers and current trainees and make their first contacts,” explains René Stepputtis, who manages the organization of the trade fair. Many HR managers provide information about the requirements for applications and are available to give tips for your own application.

Another exciting offer at the trade fair is the application portfolio checks. Students have the opportunity to have their documents assessed by professionals. This way you can ensure that you are optimally prepared when you then start your career. The response in recent years has been consistently positive, and Stepputtis is satisfied with the great interest that the training fair continues to generate.

Young people who are still undecided about where their career should take them can look forward to a wide range of information. The training fair offers insight that often goes beyond what you can find on the internet or social media. “Here you can find out first-hand what skills are in demand and what awaits you in the respective professional field,” says an expert. Parents or trusted companions are also encouraged to attend the fair and support their children.
