DCU girls swim to victory: next competition coming up!

In the city of Sturgeon Bay, the Door County United (DCU) girls swimming team is showing what it can do. Last Friday, the team defeated the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers 83-71 in a thrilling Bay Conference home contest. This was further evidence of the team's continued growth and strength as it continues its journey to a championship. Loud Door County Pulse was the team's only first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay, where the swimmers impressively demonstrated their skills.

Of particular note was Southern Door's Quinn Sperber, who placed second in the 100-yard backstroke and fourth in the 100-yard butterfly. She was part of the runner-up finish in the 200-yard medley relay along with Hazel Monfils, Jillian Peterson (both Southern Door) and Shaeffer Rass (Sevastopol). Sturgeon Bay's Chloe Bissen also had a strong performance, placing second in the 200-yard individual medley and also had strong results in the 100-yard butterfly.

Successful season

Kailyn Neville's performances particularly stood out. She took second place in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle. Bre Anderson also contributed heavily to the team's points with her fourth place finishes in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle.

Looking ahead to the challenges ahead, the DCU team will compete in the Small School State Meet on Saturday at Shorewood High School. The last home game of the season against the team from Seymour is on October 16th, an event that the swimmers are already looking forward to.

The path up to here

Live Ball Sports. In neun der elf Wettbewerbe konnte das Team den ersten Platz ergattern. Die Seniorin Kailyn Neville war dabei eine unaufhaltsame Kraft und erzielte vier erste Plätze, unter anderem im 500-Yard Freistil mit einer Zeit von 6:03.82.

The team's youngsters, such as first-year student Hazel Monfils, also showed impressive performances. She took first place in the 200-yard freestyle and was an important part of the winning 200- and 400-yard relay teams. Caralee Fellner and Mia Olson also contributed to the positive overall result with their placements and thus illustrated the team's strong potential for the future.

With such a strong team and the upcoming competitions, DCU swimmers are well positioned to finish the season successfully. There is great anticipation for the next challenges and it will be interesting to see where the journey ends for the talented athletes.
