Preparations for the new season are in full swing at EHV Aue. After the disappointing relegation in the 2023/24 season, the team is determined to make the jump back to the 2nd league. On July 7th, the team officially starts training sessions under new coach Uwe Jungandreas. Before the start, individual training plans are on the program for the players so that they are optimally prepared in the previous weeks. Preparation will include a mix of athletic and indoor sessions as well as a mandatory medical check-up. An effective introduction to arming yourself for the challenges ahead, reports Handball World.
But what does the game calendar look like? There are several test matches scheduled between July 17th and August 16th to help the team get used to the game better. The opponents are promising and ensure exciting preparation. The planned duels include:

- 23. Juli: SC DHfK Leipzig (Sachsen-Cup, Sachsenhalle Chemnitz)
- 26. Juli: Dukla Prag (Erzgebirgshalle Lößnitz)
- 29. Juli: HC Elbflorenz Dresden (Sachsen-Cup, Erzgebirgshalle Lößnitz)
- 31. Juli: SV Grün-Weiß Wittenberg (Stadthalle Wittenberg)
- 5. August: U23 SC DHfK Leipzig (Tag des Handballs, Erzgebirgshalle Lößnitz)
- 8. August: Öffentliches Training und Fanfest (Erzgebirgshalle Lößnitz)
- 10.-16. August: Trainingslager in Warnemünde
- 12. August: HC Empor Rostock (Sporthalle Marienehe)
- 16. August: Concordia Delitzsch (Mehrzweckhalle Delitzsch)

And what about the 3rd league? The start of the season is planned for the end of August or beginning of September. But there are still uncertainties regarding the season in which EHV Aue will compete. This uncertainty is related to a replay problem in the 2nd Bundesliga, which is important not only for the EHV, but also for many other clubs from the third division, such as Kicker reported.
