Concert in the Bürgersaal: enchant children with classical and pop!
Yesterday it was that time again: The Bürgersaal in Ueckermünde was transformed into a place full of musical sounds and happy voices. Organized by the Uecker-Randow district music school, a kindergarten concert took place that captivated young and old alike. The director of the music school, Christiane Krüger, reported an exciting atmosphere and happy laughter from the young music students who presented a colorful program. There were pieces such as “Rainbow” by Adele Stage as well as “O Susanna” and “Hexe Wackzahn”, which the youngest children impressively performed. Northern Courier reports that the famous “Minuet” by Luigi Boccherini was also played, played by Arina Martens and her teacher Elisa Schönlein.
The children's string orchestra in particular, which performed “Yellow Submarine” by John Lennon, drew enthusiastic shouts from the audience. Around 90 children from local daycare centers sang, stomped, danced and cheerfully applauded. The next musical highlight is already just around the corner: On July 11th, a summer concert by the “Uecker-Randow-Sinfònies” orchestra will take place in Eggesin.
Diverse program at the summer concert
The summer concert of the “Uecker-Randow-Sinfònies” promises to be a feast for the ears. With around 50 members, the musicians will compete in the new be free sports center in Eggesin. The program will include classic catchy tunes such as “Die Moldau” by Smetana and Hungarian Dance No. 6 by Brahms. In addition, visitors can look forward to medleys from popular musicals and film hits, including “Phantom of the Opera” and the music from “Aladdin”. The orchestra is proud to have both former and active members in its ranks, who will ensure a varied experience. Artists like Betty Glöde, who won an award at the national “Jugend musiziert” competition, can also be found among the soloists. Uecker-Randow emphasizes that the youngest member of the orchestra, eleven-year-old Rudi Lenz, will provide particular enthusiasm with his concert drum.
The orchestra offers a truly multi-generational experience with its program and is actively supported by the be free sports center, which takes care of all kinds of dances and provides drinks. If you don't want to miss the performance, you can buy tickets by phone or directly at the district music school and sports center.
Successes in “Youth Make Music”
Another highlight in the region is the national competition “Jugend musiziert”, which recently took place in Zwickau and the surrounding area. Schoolchildren from all over Germany took part, a total of 38 talented people performed in various formations and achieved remarkable success. The result? Five first prizes, five second prizes and many other awards that underline the high level of the music students. Leipzig Music School reported that Saxony, with 175 participants, was one of the strongest regions and was able to win numerous prizes. These successes speak for the commitment and passion of the young musicians who master their craft with flying colors.
Thanks to such events, the musical landscape in the region is truly lively and diverse. The Uecker-Randow district music school and its students impressively show how important music is for the community and the development of children. We can look forward to the upcoming performances!
