Her black women's bike with a basket on the handlebars was reported stolen at 8 a.m. The theft took place on Gartenstrasse and the police have also started an investigation there. Bicycle thefts are currently very popular, and those affected are hoping for a prompt investigation.
Alcohol and drug driving accident
Another incident that caused a stir was a traffic accident that happened on Waldstrasse in Wittenberg at around 2:45 p.m. A 55-year-old Audi driver was involved in an accident with a blood alcohol level of 2.52 and damaged two parked vehicles and a tree. His driver's license was promptly revoked and an investigation was initiated for endangering road traffic and hit and run. Such incidents show once again how dangerous drinking and driving can be.
Not long after this incident, a 29-year-old Ford driver was stopped on Dessauer Strasse in Wittenberg.
