Planting trees for the future: Saxony-Anhalt calls for participation!
A large tree planting campaign is scheduled for November 2025 in Saxony-Anhalt, which will actively involve both environmentally conscious citizens and nature. The state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt has allocated a budget for the planting of 10,900 seedlings. The aim of this initiative is to compensate for one's own CO2 footprint and thus make a contribution to climate protection.
The planting campaigns take place at various locations, including Seehausen, Cröchern, Oschersleben (Hohes Holz), Wernigerode and Lutherstadt Eisleben. Volunteers are welcome to volunteer and can look forward to a shared lunch. The planting dates are as follows:

- 15. November 2025: 10 Uhr, Cröchern

- 29. November 2025: 10 Uhr, Lutherstadt Eisleben
Various reforestation measures are already taken into account during the planting campaigns. Around 3,000 trees are to be planted in Seehausen to reforest the area after a fire in 2018. Cröchern plans to underplant 1,500 old pine stands with hardwood species, while Wernigerode will plant 1,500 trees to renovate forest areas after storm and bark beetle damage. Oschersleben (Hohes Holz) will reforest a damaged mixed deciduous forest area with 2,900 new trees, and 2,000 trees are planned in Lutherstadt Eisleben to promote ecological diversity and soil protection.
