Wehrsdorf, Deutschland - In Wehrsdorf, the events have gotten quickly: the asylum home was closed due to serious hygienic defects. Painful for the affected residents: Despite multiple requests from the Bautzen district to remedy these defects, many of them have not been fully remedied. "Eye contact Wehrsdorf", a local refugee aid group, sees the closure as inhuman and reports of even worse conditions in an adjacent asylum home in Kamenz.

In total, around 70 people of different nationalities lived in the home before the closure. These were moved to other facilities at short notice on the day of the closure.
