The CDU, which would like to fill around 50 places on the list, also knows that criticism has been made about the selection process. The proportion of women in particular is a hotly debated topic, as it was decided that of the first 20 places on the list, only three would be awarded to women: Karin Tschernich-Weiske in 10th place, Anja Schneider in 16th place and Elke Simon-Kuch in 19th place.
